Why when I insert data in the history_uint table the data doesn’t shows up?

Why when I insert data in the history_uint table in Zabbix, the data doesn’t shows up in the graphs?

and yes, I know I shouldn't be doing this unless I understand the inner workings of Zabbix, which I don't.

No reasons why they would not show up. As far as i can tell this table is only for trends and has no relation with other tables so it should not have any impact beside problems in calculation in statistics if you put weird data.

3 possible reasons i can think of right now :

1. you are inserting it with incorrect timestamps;
2. item you are looking at is not set to be integer type;
3. you are viewing a period long enough to read data from trends, but you haven't inserted trends data (trends_uint table for integer items).
4. you really, really should not be doing this.

I'll dig into item 3. It seems the probable cause for me.
